MLCOG-RESET SOMATHERAPY™

Primary Feelings

Symptoms: dissatisfaction, feeling unfulfilled, boredom, lethargy, worry, laziness, weight issues.

Through therapy, that voice of discomfort which propels you into finding meaning and challenges will be understood. This will evolve into emotional and physical healing.

Anger

Symptoms: rage, irritation, mood swings, distrust, obsessive jealousy, bullying, conflict issues, and overreaction.

Its force is transformed and used in therapy to encourage you to face and resolve pains or aggression inflicted upon you by another. It guides you into facing it and then letting it go by means of forgiveness.

Guilt

Symptoms: shame, restless mind, victimhood, lack of inner peace, obsessive pride (egotism).

Counseling leads you to make amends with how you have treated others. It guides you into dealing with pride issues and seeking forgiveness from others and from the Self.

Symptoms: loneliness, overworking yourself, unhappiness, feeling blue, feeling broken-hearted, loss, grief, tiredness, feeling left out, isolated, feeling unwanted, feeling rejected or rejecting others.

From all feelings, this is perhaps the one that everyone chooses to distract themselves from. Without facing it, sadness deepens and takes control of your emotional Self.

The internal void becomes oppressive, but through therapy sessions its wisdom reveals itself and indicates the thing, person, or part of the Self that had been lost.

Therapy, therefore, urges you to accept finding freedom and guides you through filling in the empty spaces with new-found relations, activities, and/or challenges.

Symptoms: a persistent feeling of “something is wrong with me or with the things I do,” compulsive judgment and criticism of self or others, inflexibility, feeling inept or flawed, hyperactivity, uncertainty, inability to make decisions, inability to say no, seeking or needing constant approval from others, the poor setting of boundaries, working yourself to exhaustion, shame, poor athletic performance, career path indecision, self-confidence issues, poor concentration and learning, nail-biting, public speaking issues.

Feeling you are not good enough, never arises from yourself but is a belief someone else has inflicted upon you. Therapy motivates you to understand your value and to have a better understanding of who you are.

If you tend to compare yourself, therapy makes evident that comparison is a mere illusion; how can we be compared if we are all unique individuals? Counseling will allow you to find the best and only acceptance one truly longs for: your own.

To attain this, the initial wound brought on by this feeling will need to resurface with an open and present valuation of understanding. When you acknowledge that others’ beliefs do not dictate your own reality, you become empowered in achieving change.

Symptoms: feeling overwhelmed, out of control, irritability, mood swings, exhaustion, despair, insensibility, overreaction, lack of joy, headaches, blurred vision, physical ailments in general, back pain, increase in blood pressure, low immunity.

Therapy allows you to explore why you exceed your boundaries by taking in more than you can actually handle. Perhaps unresolved feelings of your past are adding to your tolerable daily stress, resulting in a cognitive, emotional, and physical overload. In very few sessions, this will be dealt with – allowing you to restore balance and set emotional boundaries.

Symptoms: worry, feeling anxious, nervousness, fright, phobias, the constant feeling that something terrible will happen, inability to enjoy success or joy, panic attacks, isolation, public speaking issues.

Fear is based on a realistic or unrealistic perception of danger. Therapy allows you to assess, understand, and transform your belief system into relieving itself from anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias.
